This is a fan concept of axehounds from Brandon Sanderson’s novel Stormlight Archive.

Just like dogs evolved from wolves, axehounds must have been tamed from something else. In these wild axe-cannis, I imagined they have sharper edges and shapes that have been domesticated out. To hunt their armored food, these wild species use their horn to first trip and bring down their fleeing prey, before risking their eating parts to deal with the hard carapace, then deliver the killing blow. For the prairie dwelling species, they also use their horn to force Rosharan grass to retreat, revealing hidden cremlings to catch and eat.
