That week's theme was to draw a new unit for existing MtG set. I really had fun with this one, despite all the anatomy eyesores.

Hmmm! I don't know what inspired this one.

That week's theme was mythology. This is Anubis, and my brave attempt at sci-fi/mech!

These were some old sketches - mostly from a concept drawing meet up I used to help run - that I loved to this day! They were a lot of fun to do - we would get the theme on Wednesday, and could gather reference materials before meeting up on Saturday. Personally I really enjoyed how everyone was going full throttle concepting hard once the clock began. Best of all, I had no internet! So I had to work off of the limited materials I brought with me - a few art book, some figurine toys, and whatever skills and knowledge I already had on me. It meant I couldn't spent time looking stuff up to make sure they're right or look good, but had to run as best as I could with what I already got. I felt like that was rare and hard to do when I always had the potential to look every little detail up on Google and Pinterest at any time. The endless resource availability was surprisingly paralyzing at times!
